Community BBQ on the Green

Thanks everyone who came along and supported our first Community BBQ and made it such a success. The weather did not feel particularly summery but at least it didn't rain and we hope you enjoyed getting to know your Hardway neighbours. We certainly proved a deterrent to the youths who normally gather in this area.

It was great to see the Memorial Green being used by the community and we hope this will be the first of many events. And of course being responsible users of this public space we made sure the area was cleaned up and all our rubbish removed, if only others would follow our example!

Yesterday also saw the launch of a petition for a Public Space Protection Order to address the

anti-social behaviour problem on Change.org and again we have been overwhelmed by support and numbers signing -
