Extract from the letter to Gosport Borough Council.

"We believe sufficient evidence has been provided to our local Councillor, Roger Allen and Hampshire Police regarding the pattern of unreasonable behaviour, and this petition provides you with an indication of the strength of feeling in our community. Over 360 signatures have been gathered with very little publicity of the issues as we choose not to shine a light on the nuisance and ASB in our community in the press.

We are seeking the PSPO for a 3 year period to break a pattern of ASB which our community has suffered which residents and users of the green believe has not seen an effective response from the authorities. It is only in the last week that available powers have been utilised in the form of a Dispersal Order to deal with specific individuals responsible for causing harm. We are urging Gosport Borough Council and partner agencies to take a proactive approach to preventing behaviour reaching this level again in the future."
