Hardway Sailing Club yesterday hosted the Community's second meeting to continue discussions and learn what action had been taken and what was planned by authorities in response to the problem of anti-social behaviour (ASB) in and around the D Day Memorial Green, Hardway Waterfront, pontoons and the wider Priory Road area.

Attendees received an update on significant incidents of ASB that have occurred since June meeting, action taken, including the Section 35 Dispersal Order and progress on the Petition for the Public Space Protection Order.

Whilst it was recognised that the seasonal problem was now likely to have disappeared for the Autumn/Winter period the community expressed concerns that next Spring/Summer ASB issues will return impacting both users of the public space and local residents.

Thanks were expressed to the representatives of Hampshire Police and our Local Councillors, Roger Allen & Diane Furlong for attending and it is hoped that proactive action will be taken during the winter by the Authorities to put an effective plan in place for 2018.

Thank you everyone who attended, again your participation and support was greatly appreciated. We are also very grateful to the Hardway Sailing Club for allowing this community meeting to take place in their facilities.

We will continue our fight in taking back the Hardway Green and memorial gardens for our community.
