It's been a glorious sunny bank holiday weekend at Hardway and the PSPO has transformed the green and it's surrounds into an space that everyone in the community has been able to enjoy.

With the signage in place it is clear to all that anti-social behaviour (ASB) in this part of Gosport will have consequences. Young people have not been excluded, indeed there have been a number of groups of young people using this public space all weekend. There does however now seem to be an understanding that the community is watching and the authorities will take action against those participating in anti-social behaviour .

But really we want to prevent issues, not react to them.

Next month HardwayRAG representatives have a meeting with local schools to explain the problems experienced during previous summers here at Hardway, why the PSPO was needed and to work with them prior to school holidays so that young people are aware of what the PSPO means and the consequences of them engaging in ASB.

Regardless of the weather we hope summer 2018 will see the end of ASB at Hardway and everyone can enjoy this historic beauty spot.
