Happy Hardway

With the PSPO in place, Hardway Green and surrounds have been transformed in the last month, particularly when compared against this time last year. Anyone passing by will have seen increased numbers of people using the green and the slipway areas. It's become a space that the whole of our community from young to old and particularly families can enjoy.

Positively the litter problem of past summers that blighted this space, has also disappeared - a coincidence? We think not!

There have been some isolated incidents of ASB involving the same core group of youths, however, now in line with the PSPO Hampshire Police has responded quickly and the culprits have been dispersed from the area.

Gosport Council have promised to give some attention to the memorial planting prior to DDay anniversary next week, and as part of the 'Love where you Live' Keep Britain Tidy campaign, there is a community litter pick scheduled for Sunday 10th June, meeting at Explosion Car Park at 10am.
