Vandalised Fencing, Hardway Green
We have been advised that Hampshire County Council (HCC) are responsible for the white metal fencing between Hardway Green and Priory Road. We have been attempting to get the vandalised fencing repaired for more than 12 months.
HCC have advised local Councillor Hutchison that the contractors have been tasked to repair the fencing on the green, so hopefully this will happen in the not too distant future.
Hardway Sea Defence & Slipway
Gosport Borough Council is undertaking concrete repair works to Hardway sea defence and the adjacent public slipway.
Works are due to start on site w/c 17thSeptember and will last for approximately 2 weeks. During this time construction machinery including a digger will be used to remove any debris and to breakout the damaged surface of the slipway. The public slipway will be closed for 1 week whilst repairs are undertaken. The wide footpath to the rear of the sea defence will remain open for public use but the width of the footpath will be restricted.
The contractors compound will be set up in Hardway Public car park.

Green Lane Car Park
Councillor Hutchison has also informed us that work is planned to start clearing the weeds and overgrown vegetation from Green Lane car park on Friday 14th September, it is expected to take more than one day.
Having visited the car park today it looks like work has yet to start but hopefully something will happen in the very near future!
