6th June 2019 is the 75th anniversary of D Day.

Gosport provided six embarkation hards for the troops who left for D-Day. One of these was at Hardway.  Moby House, formerly the old ‘White Heather’ public House, was used in 1944 as the control station for all D Day activities in the area.

We have been approached by Hardway Councillor Hutchison who is seeking volunteers from the Hardway community  to get involved in plans to create a resident oriented event at Hardway to mark the 75th anniversary of D Day .

Your ideas and participation are welcome - the first meeting will be held in November - if you are able to get involved please contact
