Hardway New Year

Happy New Year from HardwayRAG

Hardway RAG wish you a Happy new year.

Some of you will have enjoyed the fantastic view of Fireworks at midnight visible around the harbour welcoming in the New Year.

2019 is a significant anniversary for the Hardway area, with June 6th the 75th anniversary of DDay. There are plans being generated to mark this anniversary with a memorial and community event including a formal ceremony, and Heritage displays and talks.

Hardway RAG are looking for any local residents or supporters who wish to join the organising committee to get in touch ASAP - the next meeting is scheduled for evening of 15th January at Hardway.

Alternatively, If you have any ideas to put forward on how our community can commemorate this anniversary please contact HardwayRag@btinternet.com or local councillor Jamie Hutchison with your suggestions.

Keeping the Hardway area accessible to residents and visitors of all ages without the threat of anti-social behaviour remains the key aim of HardwayRAG and we will be seeking continued enforcement of the Public Space Protection Order from April 2019. The message from our community continues to be that ASB by groups of young people (or any other groups or individuals) will not be tolerated.
